A*STAR | Landing page

A landing page that showcases and funnels people to acquire
the “Operation and Technology Roadmap” package offered by A*STAR.

What is it about?

Landing Page design

“Behind every thriving business lies a successful growth strategy”.
A*STAR, a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, offers “The Operation & Technology Roadmap” (OTR) program.
This program will help you form a strategic business plan to grow your business and generate long-term profit.
The issue is that A*STAR does not currently have a complete landing page focused on this product. The current website from A*STAR is very broad and the page used for this particular new package is very messy.

What is the goal?

Convert Users into leads

The goal was to design a straightforward and modern landing page that smoothly tempts visitors to learn more about the package. The page focuses on explaining to companies why they need this package and offering CTAs to get in touch with A*STAR.

What about the process?

simple breakdown

8pt grid system

To guarantee harmonious balance between the elements, I used an “8 pt Grid System” which boils down to increments of 8 to size and space out the elements on a page to achieve aesthetically-pleasing compositions.

Visual Hierarchy Between Fonts

Romina Viola, Spanish digital marketing expert, says: “hierarchy should be seen as a narration tool that holds the hand of the reader and shows them how to consume the content” (Viola, 2015)

Design Consistency

In the header, I used a vector design with some floating triangles to prevent “horror vacui” which is the fear of empty space. Although empty space should be seen as something active, it might also cause a loss in user perception. The triangles used in the top have also been applied to “cases” and “footer”. Substituting other shapes such as curves that would not fit the appearance and feel of the website.
